Wednesday at Holy Cross

There are a few parking spaces plowed out and hopefully more will be cleared by this afternoon. At this point one access path is plowed onto the church property. 

Tomorrow's DAYTIME liturgical schedule will likely be normal, i.e. 9 AM mass followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a Traditional Latin Mass at noon. EVENING PRAYER AT 4:45 PM IS CANCELLED.

In order to allow for traffic flow around the property, please be alert to any posted signs and PLEASE DO NOT PARK ALONGSIDE THE CHURCH NEXT TO THE RECTORY or in any driveway!

No Parking At the Inn

We, like everyone else are having trouble clearing our parking lot and pathways to the church from the near record snowfall. Neither driveways nor sufficient parking spaces are cleared as of Tuesday morning. Stay tuned.

Safe and Sound from the Storm

 

From the way the weather looks this stormy Sunday afternoon, it would appear safer for everyone to stay put this evening and not risk accident or injury.

No Latin mass is planned.

O Come O Come Emmanuel - Stations of the Creche

It was COLD ! Light snow flurries arrived a few hours after our Stations of the Creche and Christmas Tree Lighting.

Thanks to everyone whose effort made the evening a success: the prayerful liturgy in Church, the procession to the outdoor scenes of the Shepherds and the Magi, and of course to the Christmas manger. The hot chocolate and home baked goodies after the lighting of the tree were delicious and well appreciated.

Now I know that the sheep in our Nativity scene are not real, but I'm not sure the real sheep we had on hand Monday night knew that. What other explanation for the fact that they took off like lightning toward the Shepherds and Sheep station? The photo below shows the blurry images of the sheep dragging their shepherds toward the light. Thanks to everyone for being good sports. The electronic color-changing candles worked out well this year--- who knew they could also be used a light sabers?

Our Christmas tree has weathered a storm or two and stil has its supports from the last bad storm, but it looks proud and beautiful in the darkness as its lights announce the coming of the Light of the World.

Advent Stations and Lighting of the Christmas Tree Tonight !

Join us this evening for an indoor/outdoor Stations of the Creche as we journey toward the Christmas manger and celebrate events leading up to the birth of Christ. We will light our Christmas tree and gather for refreshments after a carol of praise and thanksgiving.
